There's another new destination to choose from at Dublin Airport as it was announced that Wow Air will be creating interconnecting flights to an American Airport.
The airline is launching international service at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).
Wow Air’s first flight from Reyjavik, Iceland arrives at CVG at 11:50pm on Wednesday 9th May.
The inaugural flight includes 20 journalists from seven countries who will visit Greater Cincinnati for two days.
Following the inaugural flight, Wow Air will operate 200-seat nonstop flights between CVG and its home city of Reykjavik on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with services increasing to five times per week between June and September.
Wow Air will offer one-way flights to Iceland starting at $99 (€83), while flights to other destinations including Dublin will start at $149 (€125) one way.
Wow passengers will be offered connecting service to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Frankfurt, Dublin and Copenhagen.
Wow is expected to bring 14,000 to 16,000 visitors to Greater Cincinnati each year, which will have an estimated economic impact of $30 million to $35 million.
“Today marks the first of thousands of new international travelers coming to our community – many for the first time – and we’re ready. We’ve always known Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky to be a world-class destination – starting today, more of the world will get to experience that as well," CVG CEO Candace McGraw concluded.
Kentucky, here we come.
