Whether you've been away for one week or one year, it's still nice to touch base again on Irish soil.
Forget the short-term breaks, you have to admit you miss Ireland when you're gone out of the country for too long.
Marian Keyes was one of the main driving forces behind the strong 'Yes Vote' campaign who hoped that the Eighth Amendment would be repealed on May 25, which it was.
In fact, her opinion was so strong that she was able to raise over €3,000 for Together For Yes just by using her own Twitter account.

After the campaign, she admitted that she was going to take a back seat for a while and wind down after a busy few months of campaigning.
She was in Greece on her holliers and when she returned she was met with a simple welcome that really struck a chord with her.
