We can imagine that students had been looking forward to this all year but now they will have to find another way to celebrate end of exams.
Junior Cert students are "heartbroken" after a sell-out, end of exams even was cancelled without any mention of a refund, according to The Irish Sun.
Around 600 teenagers completing their JC had paid €20 a pop for tickets for the even at Hangar nightclub but it has recently closed down "with immediate effect" and without any word about what will happen with the event.
The event was set to take place on June 20 but the event's promoter, Stomp Social has taken to Instagram to confirm that they are "working very hard to try arrange alternative venue to host the event."
“We were informed of the closure of hangar last week and have been trying ever since to arrange alternative venue.
“Full details should be known by tomorrow evening and statement issued in due course.
“We apologise for any inconveniences but the situation is out of our control as we had no idea hangar was about to close and were as shocked as anyone with the sudden closure.”
In a statement on Hangar's Facebook page, they said that it had been "well known that Hangar will eventually close its doors and sadly the time has come."
"We had hoped to be able to throw a series of closing parties over the coming weeks to give the venue and all the people that have danced with us over the last four years a proper send-off but complications with the new lease holder means that it cannot happen.
"Since work began on Hangar in September 2014, a dilapidated Warehouse venue off Dame Street has since transformed into a thriving hub for electronic music . We have to thank the countless international DJs that have joined us, the 100s of local DJs that have graced the Hangar main room, the staff and the promoters.
"The biggest thanks of all however goes to the thousands upon thousands of people that danced in the venue over the last 44 months; you were the heartbeat of the venue and we’re incredibly upset not to be able to close the doors having given the venue a proper closing party.
"This is only a minor hiccup in Hangar’s story with Hangar 2.0 just around the corner (both literally and figuratively) so you’ll be hearing from us very soon.
"Hangar Team."
