There's no doubt that forgetting to make a reservation for Valentine's Day is quite the faux pas. If you're one of the poor unfortunate souls who didn't remember to book anywhere to woo your significant other this February 14th, all hope is not lost.
In lieu of Dublin becoming a city where booking weeks in advance is required in order to guarantee a spot in your favourite restaurant, there are a few spots out there that still encourage spontaneity and take walk-ins.
So fear not! We've rounded up some delicious Dublin restaurants offering walk-ins, which are sure to help you woo your hot date.
Located on Drury Street
With taco portions that come in pairs of two, Masa is the perfect place to share a delicious dinner with your date this Valentine’s Day. with the option for chicken, pork, fish and even vegan tacos, prepare to have your taste buds blown away. Why not also pair dinner with a tasty margarita for the night that's in it?
Despite having two locations, it is only their Durty street branch that accepts walk-ins, so make sure to note that down, as we suspect their Camden Street branch will be out the door with lovebirds.
With two locations your odds of nabbing a table are also doubled, although we can't guarantee you won't have to queue.
Located on Camden Street
Franks is a butcher-turned-wine bar located on Camden Street. This spot takes no reservations so it's really luck of the draw. They serve a small menu of dishes, which are all cooked in-house daily, to complement the wines they pour each evening.
Their extensive wine menu is sure to impress, with owners David Bradshaw and Katie Seward bringing their combined experience of working in a myriad of bars and restaurants across Dublin, France and London to this intimate spot.
It's hard to think of a more perfect date night spot than this!
Located on Georges Street
If you're looking for a chic spot with some spice, 777 is for you. This authentic Mexican restaurant is constantly hopping and known for serving its customers delicious food and its infamous margarita-based cocktails.
What's even better is that 777 only accepts walk-ins for bookings under six people, meaning it’s the perfect place to chance your arm this Valentine's Day.
Located on Drury Street
A seat at Drury Street’s Loose Canon is almost an impossible feat but if secured, it’s sure to make for the perfect romantic date.
Known for its signature cheese toasties paired with a glass—or bottle—of vino, this chic wine bar is the perfect place to cosy up and watch the world go by.
Located on Stephen Street Lower and Merrion Street Upper
Okay, this is technically a cheat code, as there aren't any seats available at Bambino; however, beggars can't be choosers.
If you're really stuck and looking for a quick bite to eat before heading for a nearby bar, Bambino is the ideal spot. You can pick up one of their delicious slices and eat it en route or on a nearby bench, weather permitting, of course.
Just make sure you keep an eye out for the ever-present gulls who are sure to be lurking and looking to steal your lover's pizza away.

Located in Temple Bar
If you're looking for a casual, high-quality spot with absolutely no booking required, The Seafood Bar always holds a few tables for walk-ins.
This multi-award-winning restaurant is renowned for serving fresh Irish seafood right in the heart of Dublin City. with their menu changing daily depending on the catch of the day, you can expect your dining experience to be as unique as your love.
For any non-fish lovers out there, they also offer a selection of non-seafood alternatives, meaning there's sure to be something for you both to enjoy.
Located on Charlotte Way
Offering a range of various ramen dishes, Nomo Ramen is sure to satisfy. Founded in 2015 by Head Chef Kevin Hughes, this walk-in-only spot has been faithfully serving delicious authentic ramen dishes to the people for over a decade now.
Hopefully you and your partner are as committed to each other as Nomo is to delivering bowls of creamy, specially blended broth.
Located on Wicklow Street
Cornucopia is ideal for any plant-based lovers out there. Tucked away on Wicklow street in a restored Georgian home, this spot has been serving the non-meat eaters of Dublin for four decades now.
While traditionally known as a lunch spot, they stay open late enough that you could grab an early dinner. With a menu that is changed daily, you are sure to be surprised by what's on the menu. They also stock various local wines and beers. What's even better is there is no booking required.
Located on Kevin's Street
There is something incredibly intimate about the act of sharing food, making tapas the perfect Valentine's dinner. If you’re longing to look into your lover's eyes over a plethora of small plates, Bar Pez is for you.
From the people responsible for Fish Shop and Beach House, this spot keeps a third of its tables for walk-ins, so you will hopefully be lucky enough to secure one! On their menu you can expect to find tapas made with Irish produce and an award-winning wine menu to peruse with your lover.
Located on Parnell Street
Situated on Parnell Street, Lee's Charming Noodles is beloved by all its patrons. Their epic hand-pulled noodles are sure to catapult themselves into both your and your date's hearts.
Serving everything from Soup Noodles, Chow Mein, Noodle Mix which can be served either warm or cold, to a plethora of other Chinese stir-fry dishes, there is something for you both to enjoy. Their menu is also veggie-friendly, with gluten-free options available on request.
Located on George's Street and in Temple Bar
Accepting walk-ins only at their George’s Street restaurant and only doing bookings at their Temple Bar restaurant for parties of four or more, PI Pizza is the ideal date night spot.
Their delicious wood-fired pizza is so popular for a reason. Between their Mediterranean and the classic Margarita, there are plenty of options to choose from, which are sure to please.
