Whether you're a culture vulture, snack enthusiast, or just nosy about what’s hot right now, here’s your whistle-stop tour through the bits we’re absolutely loving in Dublin this week. Hold onto your hat, it’s a wild ride.
1. Maneki’s just dropped Holy Crab
Dawson Street's Maneki Japanese Cuisine & Karaoke Box just dropped Holy Crab. Which is a seafood boil-meets-Japanese-wok-fry masterpiece that’s made up of lobster, crayfish, octopus, mussels, rice cakes, sausage, and enough butter to resurrect Queen Meabh. From €89 for two.
2.Camille have teamed up with Open Hive honey
To launch a Sweet & Sour Stir Fry. We love to see a cross pollination (pun intended) collab like this.
3. Reruns on Fade Street
Luxury fashion, dirt cheap(ish), and dripping in corporate secrets. Reruns is a slick, two-day designer fashion pop-up on April 27–28 hosted by celeb stylist Rosalind Lipsett. Expect barely-worn Fendi, Prada, and DVF at up to 70% off, all in the David Marshall Salon. €5 in on Eventbrite. High-end retail therapy, but make it ethical.
4. Picado Has Beef Picadillo Tostada Kits This Saturday
10 corn tostadas. Spicy beans. That iconic hibiscus tea. €80. No notes. Limited availability, so get in their DMs.
5. Carbonara Mazemen at Nomo Ramen
Nomo Ramen never dissappoints but add in that carabonara edge and there’s definitely something worth schlepping accross the city for. Only available on Fridays.
7. Freelancers, Your Dream Office is Above a Restaurant
Delahunt’s Sigging Room is looking for Freelancers who might want to use their lovely room as a co-working space by day. Plush, peaceful, proper chairs, fast Wi-Fi, no weird microwave smells. Separate entrance. Check out their insta for more info.
8. This lovely Painting of Sinéad O’Connor in Glasthule
The gorgeous paining of Sinéad O’Connor in The Eagle of Glasthule is heart warming to see. What's not to love?
9. Jackie’s New Cocktail Menu
The new Jackie’s drinks list is pure 2000s flashback. Highlights include the Refresher bars in tequila, and Rock Shandy with a gin fizz twist. Available now at their new digs on Aungier St.
10. Kinara Kitchen’s Earlier Bird Menu Is Ranelagh Royalty
Midweek magic for €29.50? Yes please. Kinara Kitchen is bringing Pakistani soul to the summer stretch with a new Wednesday-Thursday early bird offering. Add cocktails with names like Drop Dead Gorgeous and Pornstar With An Agenda and you’ve got dinner with delusions of grandeur. We love to see it.
11. Boann Distillery’s Clean Sweep at the World Drinks Awards
The Meath-based legends just took home THREE golds and a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cream Liqueur trophy for the mantelpiece. Expect these to be splashed across every cocktail menu in 3... 2... 1...
12. Happy 500th Birthday, Disaronno
Five centuries of almond-y icon energy. We’ll toast to that (probably in a velvet espresso martini, because we’re those people). Catch their new cocktail recipes and join the global fan club. #EndlessDolceVita
13. Street Feast is Back (and it’s 15!)
Set your alarms and prep your pasta salad – Ireland’s national block party returns May 24–25. Whether you’re hosting in your cul-de-sac or crashing someone else’s bake-off, it’s the perfect reminder that your neighbours exist. Sign up at streetfeast.ie and get your bunting on.
14. Glas Goes Gluten-Free With a Seasonal Menu That Slaps
Vegetarian fine dining, now 100% gluten-free and as springy as a daffodil on ketamine. Think fried oyster mushrooms and spiced churros, minus the coeliac anxiety. Glas is still the elegant girlie we fell for, just with better dietary boundaries. glasrestaurant.ie
That’s it for this week’s wild ride of Dublin lovin.
