Aer Lingus’ New Cheap Flight Service From Dublin Airport Is Going To Be Very Popular With Shoppers

Currently run by Dublin based Cityjet, who were once owned by Air France, it was confirmed on Monday that this new route has been taken over by Aer Lingus.

It means that Aer Lingus will fly to London City Airport for the first time ever with flights starting on the 28th of October.

It will operate six daily round trip flights from Dublin to London City Airport on weekdays and will have a reduced service on the weekends.

Prices for the new service will start from €49.99 making it a "competitive travel option" for passengers according to the airline.

This would be ideal for those who want to hop over to the English capital on a weekend away on the lash or those who simple just want to hit the shops and end up buying more stuff than when Joey went over for Ross' wedding.

CEO of Aer Lingus, Stephen Kavanagh, said that the new route will help aid the massive amount of business that goes between Dublin and London.

"The service will provide those wishing to travel seamlessly from the heart of London City to North America with a very attractive connecting proposition, including US customs and immigration pre-clearance.”

This will be a nice little treat before we start saving for Christmas.
