Don't fall for this one next time you're out for a pint.
Dublin Fire Brigade is warning the public about a scam which is currently taking place in the capital and what's worse, the scam artist is pretending to be a member of the DFB.
The individual is posing as a firefighter and is going around Dublin pubs claiming to be collecting money for charity.
The man in question is saying that the money is for a charity boxing match which is going in aid of Pieta House.

DFB has said confirmed that this is in fact a big scam and that "If approached let bar staff know, they'll contact Gardaí" before reminding the public that they "don't collect money in pubs."
Many Twitter users replied underneath the tweet saying that they had been conned and duped, one user described the scammer as: "very gregarious and friendly, average height and stocky-ish, short greying hair, a few tattoos on the forearms. Has a laminated doc purporting to be from Pieta House, and a clipboard. Got stung by him in @ruinbardublin on Good Friday - claimed to be from Tara Street DFB."
The scam first came to the attention of Dublin Fire Brigade in April but one tweeter even stated they allegedly thought they had been hit by this scam over two years ago.
Regardless, it's something to be very wary about next time you're out for a pint.
