A new report from Inrix has named Dublin is Europe's third most congested city, and the eleventh in the world.
Yikes!
Drivers in Dublin lost around 95 hours to traffic this year, four more than in London and eight more than in LA.
Sure, don't we know it.
Delays have increased by 17 per cent this year, which saw the capital jump up four places in the rankings.
Professor in transportation at the Centre for Transport Research, Brian Caulfield, admitted there is no quick fix to the problem.
"There's a number of reasons why congestion is so bad at the moment. Primarily because our population has increased," he said on Newstalk.
"We haven't really delivered any new public transport infrastructure in the capital since 2017. That was the last time we built a new Luas line. So, a lack of investment in public transport has really led to this.
"Any fixes in terms of how we can alleviate congestion are probably at least five/10 years away with the likes of, say, the Luas line to Finglas or the MetroLink system.
"They're a good bit away in terms on construction and for us to deliver them to try and reduce this congestion."
