Dublin Has Gotten Its Own Urgent Weather Warning From Met Eireann

Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for the entire of Dublin and what a downside this is to the weekend.

The Status Yellow Wind warning is for Dublin, Louth, Wicklow and Meath.

Met Eireann say that:

"Strong winds for a time tonight and overnight. Westerly winds may reach mean speeds of 50 to 60km/h and gusts up to 90km/h at times."

It was issued at Friday at 1pm and is in place from Friday night at 7pm until Saturday at 3am.

We wouldn't be surprised if more weather warning are on the way for the country either.

There is currently two in place for various counties in Ireland.

Friday is expected to be Cold with widespread blustery showers interspersed with sunny spells. Many of the showers will be heavy, with a risk of hail and thunder. In the north and northwest, the showers will merge to longer spells of rain this evening.

Afternoon temperatures will reach just 5 to 8 degrees and it will feel even colder in the strong and gusty westerly winds. It will continue very windy along Atlantic coasts with gale force winds there.

Tonight will be very windy with scattered heavy showers at first and longer spells of rain in the north.

But showers will become confined to the west and north later. Strong to near gale and gusty westerly winds will persist in many areas for a time tonight and overnight, but they will decrease fresh towards dawn. Lowest temperatures will remain around 5 to 8 degrees.
