This €5,000 Luxury Train Adventure Departed From Dublin Today

50 lucky guests have embarked on what could be the most luxurious 8-day train tour of Ireland, ever. 

The Emerald Isle Express tour takes place for the third year on a beautiful, restored heritage train.

Guests will see the beautiful green, sweeping landscapes of Ireland from a unique point of view. They'll stay in some of Ireland's most luxurious hotels and see castles and other history-steeped landmarks along their way. 

Here's what the trip includes:

The group met in Dublin yesterday to get all acquainted, and they stayed overnight in The Merrion to rest up before today's departure. 

This morning they were whisked away and over to Connolly Station via coach, with a tour of Georgian Dublin en route, where a champagne reception greeted them.

What a way to spend the next few rainy days... we are beyond jealous. 

Today's main stop is Waterford via Wexford, where the group will visit Rosslare Strand, and then on to Waterford Crystal for a private tour. They'll rest their heads in Waterford Castle Hotel tonight.

Tomorrow they head to Cork via Tipperary and Limerick, and will visit Blarney Castle and Gardens and Fota Island where they'll stay overnight in the resort. 

On Wednesday they'll visit Cóbh and then onto Killarney. 

Thursday will bring them to lovely Ennis, and they'll visit Doolin on their way to The Cliffs of Moher. The dream. 

And the best part? Staying overnight in the beautiful Dromoland Castle. 

The last three days of this on-land luxury cruise will take guests to Galway, Connemara, Westport, Clifden, Kylemore Abbey and Ballinahinch Castle. 

It all comes to a not-so-sad end of Saturday night when guests return to Dublin for a night of luxury in The Shelbourne Hotel.
